  • The Squito's show profile
    The squito's show is a 30-minute TV show in celebration of the international world year of physics 2005. It is a rare combination of entertainment and education to captivate young minds and the general public into the world of physics combining animations and fantastic visual effects. The various segments in the show are as follows.

  • The Squito's show
    This is a 3D animation involving 3 mosquitos of the Squito family. They have been sent on an assignment to find better ways of getting human blood without direct contact to avoid death by the intelligent humans. One of them is a physicist while the others are novices. He therefore uses his knowledge of physics to takle the problem while the others question him. It is a combination of these questions, their failures and sucesses that makes it both educating and entertaining

  • Movie physics
    Nigerians are really interested in movies, especially those with interesting visual effects. The purpose of this segment is to discuss the physics (both good and bad) behind many scenes in popular movies.

  • Mind buggler
    This segment involves a 2D/3D multimedia presentation of hard to grab concepts in physics. It's a tutorial segment with an illustrating voice at the background. This will be the most important aspect of the show.

  • Horizons
    This will feature video clips from the discovery channel, science channel and NASA talking about current trends and researches in physics. Popular applications of physics based technologies will also be shown.

  • Giantsville
    This will be a presentation of a biography on a celebrated physicist or mathematician both dead and alive.

  • Boy Genius
    This is a short drama presentation of practical physics-at-home demonstrations. It will feature a young teenager who is always faced with tedious or frustrating tasks at home. He applies simple physics and the problem is solved. The aim is to make people look around them and see the physics in everyday life.
