Events:

  • The WYP in Macedonia will officially be opened at 16th February with an exhibition “The Einstein’s Miraculous 1905”.
  • February: School of astronomy. Book with the talks will be published.

  • March-June and September-December: every first and third weekend in 16 towns will be organized Physics fairs called “Traveling Physics”. Children will have an opportunity to make experiments and play with the Mobile physics laboratory which will be brought from the Institute of Physics, University of Sts Cyril and Methodius in Skopje.
    Popular talks will be organized with physics and nonphysics experts with an emphasize on physics application in other disciplines.

  • The exhibition “The Einstein’s Miraculous 1905” will take place in these fairs.

  • April-May: Regional and national physics competition for the students in primary and secondary schools

  • April: School "Young physicists". Book with the talks will be published.
  • July: Research camp: During three shifts, one week each, children will have an opportunity to work in three different sections: alternative energy sources, physical basics of microelectronics and ecology with meteorology. The children will construct devices, make research, and organize talks. Book with the research results and talks will be published.
  • June-September: “Physics without limits”, competitions with physics fun games. There will be physics phenomena or interesting physics story behind every game.
  • February, May, September and November: Open discussions on Albert Einstein and its work. Scientists, philosophers, publicists, journalists will take part in these discussions.
  • Every Monday: short TV shows on the National Television.

  • Through the year: Once a month articles related to physics and the WYP2005 will be published in one of the daily news papers with the biggest circulation in Macedonia.

  • Through the year: public astronomy observations will be organized, whenever the weather conditions allow that.

  • Special issue of the magazine "Impuls" on the WYP2005.
