  • World Year of Physics 2005, Turkish Physical Society, First Photograph Competition of a Physical Nature Event will be organized by Chairman of the Organizing Committee Prof. Dr. Sevgi BAYARI (President of Ankara Branch of TPS). First three win prizes and 50 event will be exhibited in several universities. First exhibition will be in World Year of Physics 2005, Turkish Physical Society Fourth International Physics Student Congress and Festival which will be held between August 31 – September 3, 2005 in the Seferihisar Payaml? service area of Dokuz Eylul University. Second exhibition and the prize ceremony will be in World Year of Physics 2005, Turkish Physical Society 23 rd International Physics Congress which will be held between September 13-16, 2005 in Mugla University. Deadline to participate the competiton is June 15, 2005. Winners will be announced in June 30, 2005. 
  • World Year of Physics 2005, Turkish Physical Society Fourth International Physics Student Congress and Festival will be held between August 31 – September 3, 2005 in  Dokuz Eylul University by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee Prof. Dr. Mustafa EROL (President of Izmir Branch of TPS).
  • World Year of Physics 2005, Turkish Physical Society 23 rd International Physics Congress (http://fizik.mu.edu.tr/tfd2005e.htm) will be held between September 13-16, 2005 in Mugla University under houseownership of Physicist Rector of Mugla University Prof. Dr. Sener OKTIK. Scientific Committee Director will be Prof. Dr. Mehmet ERBUDAK and the Chairman of the Organizing Committee will be Ass. Prof. Tayfun BUKE. Winner of Nobel Physics Prize in 1986 PROF. DR. HEINRICHROHRER will attend to the congress. Students, physicists, researchers and professors from TURKEY and abroad are expected to attend the congress.  
  • World Year of Physics 2005, Turkish Physical Society First National Summer School of Particle Accelerators will be held in Ankara University between July 4-9, 2005 by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee  Prof. Dr. Omer YAVAS.
  • World Year of Physics 2005, Turkish Physical Society, Dense Matter Physics Conference will be held in Yildiz Technical University by  Chairman of the Organizing Committee Res. Ass. Süreyya AYDIN.
  • Due to the World Year of Physics 2005, Remembrance Brochure which contains the picture and the autobiography of the physicists we lost, will be published under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mehmet Erbudak. Also in the World Year of Physics 2005, Turkish Physical Society 23 rd International Physics Congress which will be held between September 13-16, 2005 in Mugla University there will be a special stand for the physicists we lost.

    Description: The year 2005 marks the centennial celebration of
    Einstein's "Miraculous Year" in which he wrote three legendary
    articles describing revolutionary new insights into physics that
    have formed the basis of our modern understanding of the Universe.
    The Research School is organized in conjunction with the United
    Nations endorsed international celebration of physics. It aims at
    providing an occasion to educate graduate students and young
    researchers on the latest developments in theoretical and
    observational cosmology.
